A Doctor Showed How a Baby’s Sight Changes in Their First Year of Life

When a child is born the parents cannot take their eyes off them, trying to keep every detail in their memory. Meanwhile, a child’s sight is not as good as ours.

Mr. Romesh Angunawela, in collaboration with Clinic Compare, decided to show how the world looks through the eyes of a child in the first year of their life by creating a special gif animation.

It turns out that in the first days of life, babies see only a blurred black-and-white image. Each month, their vision gets better, and after three months a child begins to recognize their parents’ faces. The world is becoming more and more vivid and clear for them. Their vision is fully formed by about two years — just around the age children are eager to explore the world around them.

Here it is, a wonder of nature. How can we not get stuck on this?
