We suggest a five-day diet based on eggs with the help of which you can lose up to 5 pounds fast. To achieve better results, the diet includes cinnamon because this spice stimulates fat burning and metabolism of carbohydrates.

DAY ONE

Be sure to use an integral bread or rolls, but in exactly specified quantities

  • Breakfast: teaspoon of honey with a little cinnamon, 2 scrambled eggs, two integral biscuits, yogurt
  • Lunch: 2 boiled eggs, 2 integral biscuits, orange, apple or pear
  • Dinner: green salad with tomatoes and tuna, half wholemeal rolls, a cup of tea without sugar with a teaspoon of cinnamon

DAY TWO

  • Breakfast: teaspoon of honey with a little cinnamon, 2 boiled eggs, 2 integral biscuits, yogurt with a lower percentage of fat
  • Lunch: bowl of vegetable soup, boiled egg, a large portion of mixed seasonal salad
  • Dinner: 150 g stewed minced meat, wholemeal toast, salad with tomato and cucumber

DAY THREE

  • Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, 2 integral biscuits, orange, pear or apple
  • Lunch: 150 g of fresh cottage cheese or mozzarella cheese, boiled egg, tomato, half wholemeal roll
  • Dinner: spread of 100 g of minced white chicken meat and “light mayonnaise”, two integral biscuits, a cup of tea without sugar with a teaspoon of cinnamon

DAY FOUR

  • Breakfast: teaspoon of honey with cinnamon, 2 boiled eggs, orange, glass of skimmed milk
  • Lunch: 200 g of cooked meat, half wholemeal roll, mixed salad, apple
  • Dinner: 150 g stewed minced meat, two tomatoes, integral toast

DAY FIVE

  • Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, 2 tomatoes, whole wheat toast, a cup of tea without sugar with a teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Lunch: tuna fillet, half wholemeal roll, lettuce, apple
  • Dinner: 500 g of cooked vegetables (carrots, peas or potatoes), boiled egg, tomato

Quick Tips for losing weight

To maintain the achieved weight, every Monday follow this diet plan:

  • Breakfast: lemonade sweetened with a teaspoon of honey
  • Lunch: egg, Integral roll, portion of lettuce
  • Dinner: egg, integral toast, tomato and cucumber salad, cup of tea with a teaspoon of cinnamon

Apparently Nigella Lawson’s husband Charles Saatchi, lost over sixty pounds by eating nine eggs a day for ten months. There is also discussion that Adrian Brody lost 30 pounds in six weeks in preparation for his role in the Pianist by following the Egg Diet. He has since explained that he actually followed a variation of the diet where he ate: eggs for breakfast; small piece of grilled chicken for lunch and small piece of fish with steamed vegetables for dinner.
