These antioxidants can help avoid the harmful effects of inflammation of the arteries. Immediately after you drink coffee, your blood pressure and heart rate increase but in the long run, it can actually reduce your blood pressure, because the antioxidants in coffee release nitrite oxide, which dilates the veins.


Antioxidant power of pomegranate is very large. Regular consumption of pomegranate juice may protect the heart, so it will reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood and increase blood flow.

Black Tea

The powerful antioxidants in black tea improve heart health. It has been proven that consumption of black tea reduces the risk of stroke, reduces levels of bad cholesterol and improves the function of blood vessels. A few cups of this miraculous beverage per day may reduce the risk of heart disease.

Green Tea

As well as black, the green tea contains rich antioxidants that protect this vital muscular organ. The main difference between the black and green tea is that the latter is fermented. The green tea consumption reduces the risk of coronary artery disease.


Dehydration can contribute causing a number of risk factors which are necessary for the occurrence of heart disease. When the body is dehydrated and lacks liquid, the blood is thicker and the heart consumes more energy to pump blood through the body.
