Actress Gwyneth Paltrow (43) is known as a woman who is very conscious of her look, and women around the world want to know the secret of her success. She revealed her secrets how to stay in top form and look formidable after two children.
“I believe in exercise, laughter and sex and the fact that you are what you eat. My routine is the same every working week: drive children to school, do a one hour cardio dance, and then I go to work – said Gwyneth Paltrow, former wife of rocker Chris Martin.
Beautiful actress explained her diet: Start each day with unusual and delicious Surya detox tea, and follow it with Paltrow’s own Morning smoothie, complete with “Brain Dust” or “Sex Dust,” to get the day started on the right foot.
For lunch, some chickpea and kale curry or detox salad with grilled chicken and cilantro cashew dressing. Rice cakes with almond butter, or an aloe and coconut smoothie as snacks between meals, and finish the day with strong detox hot and sour soup for dinner.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s diet has been the object of much curiosity for many years. Oscar-winning actress finally answered speculations that she maintains a strict gluten-free and alkaline diet most days. “I think there’s a lot of misinformation about what I actually eat. My philosophy of food is: Nothing should be according to the rules” – said Gwyneth.
While she tries to stay away from processed foods with “tons of chemicals and pesticides,” Gwyneth admitted she actually “loves French fries and cheese and martinis.” She tries to keep a balanced diet, which she believes is the key to good nutrition.
Gwyneth started learning to make healthy food choices when her father, director Bruce Paltrow, became sick in the 1990s. Paltrow died in 2002 due to oral cancer complications. Since his death, Gwyneth continued to learn more about proper food intake, detoxing and the benefits of whole foods, which sparked a shift in her lifestyle. To burn the calories from eating French fries and other food indulgences, Gwyneth does rely on her secret weapon: fitness – and her current routine consist of workout with trainer five days a week.
As for the detox diet she’s famous for, Gwyneth actually does this once a year. The detox diet does entail eliminating a lot of foods and drinks that contain alcohol, added sugar, caffeine, dairy, gluten, red meat, nightshades, shellfish and white rice. She does this for only seven days at the start of the year. “It’s a great way to give your digestive system a breather and break bad eating and addiction patterns that probably set in over the holidays” said Gwyneth.
